The ritual of a perfect cup
Aroma, sweetness, warmth, and clarity for pour-over, French press, and cold brew.
Casa Hathor standard
- Coffee: 18 g | Water: 240 ml (8 oz)
- Ratio: 1:13 to 1:14 for rich, balanced sweetness
- Full-bodied cup with low bitterness and aromatic clarity
Heat, rinse, prepare
- Water temp: 92-96C (195-205F)
- Rinse paper filters and preheat your brewer
- Use clean, filtered water without heavy mineral taste
Measure and adjust
- No scale? 18 g is about 2 tbsp + 1 tsp
- Too bitter? Grind slightly coarser or shorten brew time
- Too sour? Grind slightly finer or extend brew time
Pour-over / Drip
18 g coffee240 ml water1:13-1:1492-96C2:30-3:30
- 1Heat water to 92-96C and rinse the filter
- 2Add 18 g coffee to the filter
- 3Pour 30-40 ml to bloom for 30 seconds
- 4Finish the pour slowly in circles
- 5Target a total brew time of 2.5-3.5 minutes
